Stephen Colbert (Script)  Folks, the establishment may have thwarted my campaign for president of the United States of South Carolina. but there is one moment they can never take away. Last Friday’s rock you like a Herman Cain South-Cain-olina at the College of Charleston. It gave me some of hope to see so many students so willing to skip class on such short notice.

The next day, Friday, Cain attended a campaign rally with satirist Stephen Colbert in Cistern Yard on the university’s quad. Nearly 5,000 people, mostly students, showed up at the event, perching on walls around the quad, hanging out of the windows of school buildings.  Authorizing casino gambling is “easy politically right now,” says Douglas Walker, associate professor of economics at South Carolina’s College of Charleston and author of The Economics of Casino Gambling. “People want jobs and they don’t want higher taxes.
