College of Charleston doesn’t plan to raise enrollment – Charleston Post and Courier

Questions about enrollment growth at the College of Charleston were raised recently in an editorial published by The Post and Courier.

The college has no plans for undergraduate enrollment growth on our downtown campus.

We have almost exactly the same number of students that we had in 2001, even though our number of applications has grown substantially over the past five years. This academic year, we received nearly 14,000 applications for only 2,000 freshman spots.
