Three Honors Students Selected as Market Process Scholars

We are happy to announce more great news regarding our exceptional Honors students. Juniors Schylar Brock and Mary Frances Zeager as well as sophomore Elizabeth Mandell were recognized for their exceptional academic records and interest in economics in November by the School of Business’ Initiative for Public Choice and Market Process (IPCMP). According to The College Today article (read it here), the Market Scholars program “strives to improve students’ understanding of the economic, political, and moral foundations of a free society through an enhanced curriculum including tours of regional organizations, academic mentoring, economic roundtable discussions, economics book colloquiums, brownbag policy discussions, and business etiquette training.” Each selected scholar brings something different to the table. Schylar Brock is an Economics and Mathematics double major, with a minor in Film Studies. Mary Frances Zeager is an Economics major with minors in Asian Studies and Mathematics. Elizabeth Mandell, an Economics major, minors in data science with a music industry concentration.

The School of Business and IPCMP will select two new Market Process Scholars in Fall 2015; we hope to see more Honors students given this designation! Congratulations, Schylar, Mary Frances & Elizabeth!
