Last October, we featured an appearance of CofC’s Geology department in Charleston’s Post & Courier. This year, we return to the geology world–this time to visit College alumnus Ransom White ’06. After the Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 disappeared in March, one of the most puzzling and comprehensive searches in history ensued. Ransom’s team uses sonar equipment to map the ocean floor in search of debris from the wreckage.
