Women’s Volleyball Club Tournament and Mother Emanuel Hope Fund

The College’s club team hosted 17 teams in a tournament hosted at the Johnson Center on Saturday, September 26 as part of its effort to help those lost in the terrible event suffered by the Emanuel AME Church of Charleston.  The club made a contribution of $2361.50 to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund.

Club captain Christine Mulvaney, while at home this summer, was so moved by what she saw happening to our neighbors that she felt compelled to act.  Setting up this tournament as a fundraising effort for the church members was an idea she wanted to pursue and along with her teammates worked to make this fundraising event happen.
