#wrpdiaries: making and doing

In this ongoing #wrpdiaries series, students discuss how taking a course in the Writing, Rhetoric, and Publication concentration and minor contributed to their experience at CofC.

Yes so taking a WRP course has definitely been like a different experience than things that I’ve done before. It’s definitely not like a literature course in that you’re not going to be just sitting there and analyzing books or literature. You’re actually going to be doing things that just have a direct impact– Maybe it’s a good way to put it. But it was different because of those things, and it has expanded my learning as it English major. It was something that I never really thought about before and something that I didn’t think I’d really be interested in. In fact before taking this course it was something that I was dreading taking, and it turned out one of my absolute favorite courses taken in English at the College of Charleston.
