Internships via UpLyft: ImpactX

Join the College of Charleston’s interdisciplinary ICAT/ImpactX program (an entrepreneur-focused accelerator program open to business majors, computer science majors, as well as majors in the liberal arts and sciences) along with Lyft and Jyve to network for internship opportunities, meet alumni, eat pizza, and win free Lyft credits!

About this Networking Event:  
Students are invited to engage with and celebrate the local impact entrepreneurship community. The event will be kicked off by Dr. Starr, who will give an overview of the ImpactX program and how we you can get involved. Brandon Brooks 15’ of Jyve, will tell you about his company and introduce their internship opportunities currently available. Next, Ben Hintz 15’ of Lyft will speak briefly about how impactful his time was as an ICAT participant, the ways Lyft gives back to the community, and how students can get involved with Lyft as interns with the potential for full time jobs after college. Lyft is sponsoring this event and will be providing one lucky raffle winner $100 worth of Lyft credits. 

About ICAT/ImpactX: 
Each semester, you can apply for a coveted position in the ImpactX Accelerator. Join two or three other CofC students as a team to experience what it is like to move an idea from conception to commercialization.With two industry mentors, you may have the opportunity to actively engage in the founding of a globally-scalable, high tech company. At the end of the semester all teams compete for a part of all of $10,000 in the final pitch competition. Only six teams of four students or seven teams of three students will be selected for this experience each semester.
