Making sure that your PDFs are accessible to all individuals is paramount, especially as a professor. This tutorial shows you how to run an accessibility report and then fix the main issues. This is critical for PDFs you have in your OAKS classes as it is every faculty member’s responsibility to make all of their materials accessible.
This tutorial covers running an accessibility report in Acrobat Pro (available to all CofC Fac/Staff through the Service Desk and to Students via Appsanywhere) and how to fix the most common issues.
Great tutorial, and very useful information to know. As I am in the process of re-thinking how often I use PDFs due to accessibility issues, it’s good to know how to check for accessibility within Acrobat. Shamefully, my document errors were simple issues such as headings and alt tags. I’ll do better in the future.
