“Artsteps is a a web-based environment that allows its members to create virtual art galleries in lifelike 3D spaces. It is an application for artists, art organizations and art enthusiasts to model actual or virtual exhibitions by designing realistic 3-dimensional room complexes. Virtual exhibitions may include 2-dimensional artifacts (e.g. paintings, photos and posters), 3-dimensional artifacts (e.g. sculptures or small installations) and streaming videos.”(1) . But it can be used for more than art. Consider doing a guided history tour, timeline, or to display any student work in the K12 environment or research posters! You’re only inhibited by your imagination. It has a low learning curve once you master the navigation so I think it can easily be used by students and faculty alike. Here’s an example:

I need to import a group of my images rather than one by one.
I do not see a way to revise my gallery. It seems that every time I want to go back I lose ALL of my work.
Hi John,
Thanks for your comment. I’m not sure why you are having problems editing your gallery. I created the tutorials for our students and don’t work for the company. You may need to contact them about this issue. I also was unable to find a way to add multiple images at one time.
Hi, why the map disappear from my screen before it was there and now I cant see it even thou I did restart my computer.
And I couldn’t upload videos and its smaller than 4MB.
Thank you
hello. what is the way to upload high resolution images, not 320×320 resolution?
Hi
I have made a gallery on Artsteps (brilliant website!) but I am struggling to embed it onto my own website. Even in the preview of the embedded gallery on artsteps, it gets stuck on ’61 items remaining to download’ and it doesnt get anywhere!
could you advise?
Thanks
Paul
Hi Paul,
I don’t work for the company but I’m happy to take a look to see if it does the same thing for me. Can you include a link to your published ArtStep and maybe the embed code? All of our comments are moderated so it shouldn’t display publicly in our comments. Only I should see it.
I’ve visited a few online exhibitions made using artstep. Here are the problems I encountered. 1. Not being able to move around the gallery space. 2. Not being able to move around walls to see more artwork. 3. Not being able to select a single image to get a better view. …..I like the idea of it, but so far I’m not able to do, as a visitor , what I would like to do to see more art, and spend time on individual works of art.
Hello.
Does anyone know if and how a group of students can collaborate on one gallery project in Artsteps?
Or does one student in the group have to control everything?
i am unable to download ArtSteps onto my new AIO, what am i doing wrong ?.
I don’t work for the company so you’ll need to discuss this with their support team.
