It’s Okay to Feel Tired

As we approach the end of the semester, I want to pause and acknowledge something simple but important: it’s okay to feel tired right now. This season brings a lot—grading, final projects, events, and planning for spring—all while the calendar reminds us that a new year is just around the corner!

Feeling a bit overwhelmed doesn’t mean you’re falling short; it means you’ve been giving your best. The energy you’ve poured into teaching, mentoring, and supporting students matters deeply. Every conversation, every extra effort, every creative solution has helped someone succeed.

As 2026 approaches, let’s give ourselves permission to breathe. Take a five-minute walk, grab coffee with a colleague, or step away from the screen for a moment. These minor resets can make a big difference.

Thank you for everything you’ve done to make this semester meaningful. Let’s finish strong—and step into the new year with clarity, purpose, and maybe even a little more rest.

YOU make a difference!

Ponder this with me …

Thanks to CoPilot, Grammarly, and Gemini for the assist.
