Profs. Sheridan Hough and Christian Coseru to present at the 20th Anniversary Toward a Science of Consciousness Conference, Tucson, Arizona. Prof. Sheridan Hough will be giving a talk, “That Poor and Erring Organ: Nietzsche on Consciousness and Instinct.”  Prof. Christian Coseru will be giving a talk, “Reflexive Sensibility: The Bedrock of Consciousness.”

Professor Coseru will deliver a talk, “Consciousness and Causal Explanation” at TCU’s Ronald E. Moore Humanities Symposium on “Consciousness.” Apart from his presentation, Professor Coseru will also engage in a round table discussion on “Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Buddhism” with Katalin Balog, Bob Kentridge, and Vanessa Miller.

Christian Coseru and Sheridan Hough will serve as Participants-at-Large at the “Mind and Attention in Indian Philosophy” seminar at Harvard University, Sept 20-21, 2013. The event is sponsored by the Harvard Provostial Fund for Arts and Humanities, Harvard South Asian Studies, the Center for the Study of Mind and Nature in Oslo, and the Network for Sensory Research, Canada.
