We are looking for an energetic, creative, engaging individual that can proactively develop and implement a communication plan for Illinois REALTORS®! Must be innovative, persuasive, flexible, and enjoy building relationships with top tier partners to achieve brand recognition. The candidate we select will have strong self-management and planning/organizing skills with exceptional written and verbal communication and will have superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.  We are seeking a creative problem solver with excellent judgement, including negotiation and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an integrated strategic marketing and communications plan to advance Illinois REALTORS® brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across the statewide membership.  Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization to recognize internal and external marketing and communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.  Develop all elements of Illinois REALTORS® social media strategy and tactics.
  • Serve as marketing and communications subject matter expert, both internally and to the association membership.  Oversee the day-today activities of the Communications & Marketing Department (9 team members) including budgeting, planning and staff development.  Establish and monitor staff performance and development of goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals and administer salary adjustments.  Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and commitment to quality.

Qualifications:  Leadership experience managing a comprehensive strategic marketing and communications, media relations, and marketing program to advance an organization’s mission and goals.  Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior management role.  Experience in developing and implementing social media strategies.  Experience in building, mentoring and coaching a team of marketing and communication specialists.  Track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.
