Special Topic in American Literature.

In this course, we will examine some of the most influential novels published in the U. The list of novelists for this course includes Cooper, Melville, Stowe, Twain, James, and Chopin. We will engage with a variety of critical approaches to these novels as students prepare their own research projects.
