Content and Communications Manager
An Internship with the Honors College
Overall Job Description:
The Content and Communications Manager plays an essential role in maintaining the Honors College’s communications suite. The Manager creates content for and sustains engagement across all Honors College social media channels and publication platforms. Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of the Honors College, the Content and Communications Manager will create content and craft messaging in various forms for the general betterment of the Honors College community.

- Effectively and consistently communicate relevant information to members of the Honors College community.
Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining Honors College accounts on Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms as needed. This includes:
- Implementing a detailed content
- Engaging with followers on various platforms in a timely
- Monitor trends in social media channels, tools and applications, and applying that knowledge to our accounts.
- Overseeing and updating information on the Honors College SharePoint Hub, the Opportunity Hub WordPress site, and the Honors College website. This includes:
- Copyediting and proofing an array of
- Designing promotional materials for a variety of Honors-related events, initiatives, and opportunities.
You’ll also be asked to:
- Familiarize yourself with and maintain a working knowledge of the College’s brand manual and style guide.
- Collaborate with other members of the Honors team on marketing-related
- Brainstorm ideas for improving our marketing and communication
- Serve as a voice of the Honors College and represent Honors student perspectives to the best of your ability.
Qualifications:

- Social media platforms (specifically Instagram and LinkedIn)
- WordPress or comparable blog post sites
- Design platforms (preferably Canva)
- You’re a big-picture thinker who enjoys collaboration and creative problem-solving
- You can multi-task with the best of them by not only balancing multiple tasks, but completing them in a timely manner
- You’re a well-organized individual who makes detailed plans but isn’t afraid to adjust those plans on the fly
- You’re constantly looking to grow and improve

Work Schedule and Compensation:
The internship is for 10 hours per week throughout the Spring ’26 semester, with the potential for the internship to continue into the 26/27 academic year. You’ll typically be asked to work on campus at our main office with a set weekly work schedule. You will have the opportunity to build your work schedule around your class schedule, and there will occasionally be times when you may be asked to work remotely.
Pay starts at $11 per hour.
