Who’s up for the challenge? The trivia game is open to all Honors students. You can register as a team (of up to four players), or as an individual (and we’ll place you on a team!).

What’s at Stake: Each participant will be asked to contribute a $5 CofC Day donation as part of their “entry fee.” If a team is able to take down the Dean’s super squad, that team will win $100!

  • All remaining proceeds go to the Dean’s Excellence Fund in support of scholarships, mentorship, and experiential learning.

Summer internship with Lia Burke Art & Design

Charleston-based visual artist and designer Lia Burke is seeking a summer intern.

The Internship: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with shipping, assisting with framing, routine errand running, studio organization, and social media calendaring and creative.

  • The role is part time role and you must have a car. The internship is unpaid position but I am happy to work with your college/university to arrange for credits.

Entrepreneurship Internship

The Zucker Institute for Innovation Commercialization (Zucker Institute) is a key collaborator within the MUSC innovation ecosystem that collectively generates recognition and impact from the enterprise’s innovations across the domains of scholarly research, education, and public health. Established as a 501(c)(3) MUSC affiliated organization, the Zucker Institute’s missions are to evaluate and manage the intellectual property generated by the faculty, staff, and students at MUSC, to lead the commercialization of such intellectual property to ensure it will provide a benefit to the public, and to support and facilitate entrepreneurial and economic development activities that provide opportunities for research funding and elevate MUSC's reputation. This office works closely and collaboratively with leaders from several offices across the MUSC enterprise, including the Office of Innovation, Office of External Affairs, the Office of the Vice President for Research, the MUSC Health innovation team, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, and the Office of the General Counsel to achieve its missions.

Internship Description:

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer of the Zucker Institute, the Entrepreneurship Intern will support entrepreneurship initiatives at ZI with a focus on creation of web-based content to educate and prepare life science inventors and entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities for the Zucker Entrepreneurship Intern include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with CTO and other ZI team members to create web-based content for a “Founders Toolkit” designed for first time life science entrepreneurs.
  • Contributing to planning and design sessions in collaboration with external marketing service providers.
  • Interfacing with external marketing and creative content design teams.
  • Curating content from online sources and sites with similar start-up resources to create unique resources that are consistent with existing university start-up programs.
  • This is a paid position.

Technical Requirements:

  • Educational focus in a Life Science, Bioengineering or Biochemical Engineering, or Entrepreneurship field.
  • Strong interest in commercialization of Life Science Technology.
  • Web design and creative content design expertise preferred.

Interpersonal Requirements:

Competency in developing collaborations.

Ability to communicate concepts clearly and concisely to audiences with and without technical expertise.

Ability to navigate collaboration and teamwork among a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

Capacity for thinking both strategically and tactically.

Willingness to grow with the organization and participate in professional development training programs.
