The Opportunity: The Global Ambassadors Program is a professional development program designed for students interested in careers with internationally oriented organizations, including civil service and Foreign Service. This program creates opportunities for interactions between students and foreign service officers, civil servants, diplomats, and distinguished professionals in internationally oriented organizations working on global challenges.
Details: This is a two semester-long program that counts for three credit hours: one in the fall, and two in the spring. Meeting times are Tuesdays from 4:30–5:30 p.m. The highlight of the program is a field trip to Washington DC during the spring break for visits to embassies, think tanks, and NGOs.
Great Fit For: Any and all majors with interest in global careers! You must have completed two semesters and have a 3.25+ GPA to apply.
Benefits: Learn about foreign service and diplomatic work, attend lectures and events organized by the Mroz Institute, seminars, and small-group discussions with guest speakers, go on a fully funded spring break trip to Washington DC, and experience close interactions with guest speakers, diplomats, and international leaders.
