Research opportunity at MUSC’s Mehrotra Lab studying cancer immunotherapy

The Mehrotra Lab at MUSC has research opportunities for undergrad students to study cancer immunotherapy and immunometabolism.

The Research: Using tumor-reactive T cells to treat tumors is a growing field, and our lab’s research has enabled FDA approval for a clinical trial of CD19 CAR T-cells as a form of immunotherapy. We are testing several novel strategies in advance pre-clinical cancer models to initiate future Phase I clinical trials.

The Benefits: Gain hands-on research experience in ground-breaking cancer treatments.

Great Fit For: Biology / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology / Microbiology students.
