The Green Heart Project is looking for a dependable student leader to help run their Summer Youth Internship Program.
The Program: The Summer Youth Internship Program (YIP) is Green Heart’s cornerstone youth development program – a summer internship experience for high schoolers that focuses on teaching career preparedness, healthy living and citizenship through urban farming. This 10-week program runs from June 5th – August 11th, 2023
The Position: CREW LEADERS play an integral role in the summer YIP, and are responsible for leading and mentoring a team of high school interns as they tend to a half-acre urban farm, grow and harvest fruits and vegetables, and price and sell produce at an onsite market stand.
- Crew Leaders must be available to work 40 hrs/week M-F, ~7am-4pm for the duration of the summer program, and will be paid $15/hr. Additionally, interns take part in educational sessions, workshops, and community site visits.
