The College of Charleston Trujillo Fall Semester Program offers students the opportunity to study with CofC faculty while abroad in Spain and be immersed in the Spanish language and culture through living with experienced host families.

The fall 2023 interdisciplinary semester is designed for any student with an interest in communication, literature, film, and/or women’s and gender studies. Courses are taught in English by CofC faculty with the exception of Spanish courses taught by a local faculty from the Universidad de Extremadura.

The program enjoys weekly one-day field trips, a week-long trip to Andalucia, an overnight trip to Madrid, and normally one additional overnight trip. Students also enjoy a ten-day fall “break“ in the middle of the program that affords the opportunity for extended travel to other European countries.

The courses offered are College of Charleston classes; therefore, students will earn grades just as they would if they were offered on campus. Grades will factor in the student’s GPA. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
