Meet with Honors Alumna Elizabeth Roberts ’14 for a Coffee Conversation

Honors alumna Elizabeth Roberts ’14, currently a PhD candidate in sociology, will be back on campus for a casual conversation with students.

The Event: Thursday, February 2, 4:30 – 5:30 in the Honors Center (10 Green Way).

The Speaker: Elizabeth Roberts is pursuing a PhD in sociology from Virginia Tech, with a focus on race and ethnicity, immigration, higher education, and social justice.  She has conducted research into non-profit organizations serving immigrants and refugees, developed numerous college admissions practices that promote racial equity and justice, and has taught courses on race relations in the United States.

  • Bonus Connection: Prior to pursuing a PhD, Elizabeth spent several years working as an admissions counselor for the Honors College, and helped to welcome many of you to campus!
