Dr. Angela Passarelli, Associate Professor of Management, is looking for a research assistant to help enhance several leadership development programs focused on the medical science field.
The opportunity: Paid, semester-long research into health science leadership coaching will include literature reviews, designing surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports.
- The leadership programs include the brand new MUSC/CofC collaboration CREW: Coaching and Resources for Entrepreneurial Women and projects through the McClean/Harvard Medical School Institute of Coaching.
The benefits: Paid RA position ($12/hr); 6-10 hours per week (some remote work an option), eligible for independent study or Honors Immersed credit; supported by NIH grant.

Position Title: Undergraduate Research Assistant
Position Description: Position available to assist with various research projects related to coaching for leadership development. Projects include:
- CREW: Coaching and Resources for Entrepreneurial Women (with MUSC)
- Competencies for Coaching Physicians and Physician Leaders (with Institute of Coaching, McLean/Harvard Medical School)
- Human-centered Leadership (with Institute of Coaching, McLean/Harvard Medical School)
Potential Duties:
- Complete certification in the ethics of human subjects research
- Conduct literature reviews
- Design electronic surveys using logic in Qualtrics
- Oversee data collection
- Analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data
- Prepare reports
- Meet regularly with research advisor and/or multi-institutional collaborators
- Maintain confidentiality
Must be proficient with electronic data management systems, have strong attention to detail, and ability to communicate professionally.
Duration of position: Open for spring 2023, with possibility to extend through summer or additional semesters (6-10 hours per week, remote)
Is compensation available? Yes, $12/hr; can also be used as Independent Study or Honors Immersed credit.
