Recently, Scientific American posted an article, featuring one of the biology adjunct professors. Jennifer Keller, from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, has worked with 3 of our Masters of Marine Biology students in the past.
The article, “Long-lasting Chemicals May Harm Sea Turtles,” examines the unknown risks of chemical pollution on sea turtles. Unlike many forms of marine life, it’s often difficult to distinguish how sea turtles are affected, because they spend their lives hidden in shells.
