On February 26, 2016, the Department of Computer Science held the 34th Annual High School Programming Competition at Harbor Walk. With approximately 80 attendees, including students, coaches, and parents, the competition was comprised of 20 teams from SC, GA, and NC.
The competition utilized Python and Java, as teams collaborated to solve eight problems. The programming environment resembles the ACM ICPC Programming Competition, so students will be able to apply their learned skills in future competitions.
Congratulations to Team O(n!), Nikhil Reddy, Miguel de los Reyes, and Kireet Panuganti, from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, for first place at the competition.
Team O(1/n), Sarah Wu, Sunwoo Yim and Ashvin Warrier, and Team O(N), Alan York, Matthew Zheng, and Sayan Dutta, from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, for second and third place, respectively, at the competition.
