Volunteers needed!
The Charleston Mac-Off is a local event where restaurants come together and compete for the title of Best Mac and Cheese in Charleston. It will be held at The Grove at Patriot’s Point in Mt. Pleasant on October 25th from 2pm-7pm. There will be multiple vendors, food, live music, and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Guests will have the opportunity to sample over 15 types of mac and cheese and vote on their favorite.
We are in need of student volunteers that will be responsible for tasks such as working ticket booths and beverage stations, helping set up sound equipment, live tweeting and Facebook posting, etc. Volunteers will be needed as early as October 6th and from the 22nd-25th. While specific times will vary for each day, and shifts will be scheduled for individuals based on which team they are interested in/placed on, all volunteers will be needed all day on October 25th.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for students, and a great networking opportunity as well. Although it is solely volunteer work, those who work the beverage station do get to keep their tips at the end of their shift.
