Position Summary: (This is a paid internship.) TRIO is a marketing-communications firm in Mount Pleasant, SC looking for a passionate and motivated student for our marketing internship. This internship is designed to provide an immersive educational experience through active training and participation. This role will support staff within all company service areas for TRIO and its clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist and collaborate with team members on preparing materials for client and agency projects
- Conduct research for team members as needed
- Assist agency leadership with day-to-day operations of the company
- Greet office guests and be the first impression of TRIO
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries and route requests to the appropriate staff person
- Assist leadership with agency project management system
- Manage universal office space calendar to ensure the office is prepared for meetings
- Organize files and maintain office records
- Order office supplies
- Assist with employee birthdays and TRIOversaries
- Coordinate and schedule mailings and shipping of all materials
- Support with event planning services
- Assist with media databases for press release distributions
- Get quotes for projects from vendors
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Passion for marketing
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of GSuite and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work as an individual and a team member
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful self-starter who takes initiative in projects and goes the extra mile
- Dedicated to excellent customer service
- *Experience filming or editing video is a plus
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate junior or senior majoring in related field
- Interns must be able to commit to a schedule of 10-20 hours/week
Compensation and Benefits:
- $10 / hour
- All major holidays are observed
- Access to American Marketing Association events
