Global Marketing Intern at Teleflex – this is a position for a graduating senior. See below for internship description–
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
In collaboration with the Surgical portfolio managers, the Marketing Intern at Teleflex will support global brand management to include insight generation, new product development, and life cycle management for products including ligation, fascial closure, percutaneous, and legacy. This is a junior level position that will support other related duties as required for daily activities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In collaboration with marketing and product managers, drive portfolio management and develop product pipeline and commercial execution for the surgical portfolio.
- Support idea and concept development process, market insights and analysis, financial analysis through relationships with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Total Customer Insights and other activities – global Voice of the Customer (VOC).
- Develop global content for New Product Introductions (NPIs) including market development, training, education and sales/marketing collateral (publications, brochures, electronic media, and marketing communication/education content).
- Support operational initiatives to improve cost, quality, product efficiencies, and profitability.
- Support global product positioning and commercial region promotional initiatives.
- Coordinates shipping of product for Global Marketing activities.
- Demonstrates professional responsibilities by cooperating with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations.
- Maintains compliance with principles of accepted employee conduct as identified in the Teleflex Medical employee handbook, Code of Ethics, and as specified in departmental policies and procedures.
- Enhances growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, training meetings, and workshops.

- Presentation Skills: Public speaking skills with the capacity to present in front of groups.
- Communication Skills: Written and verbal communication with a broad spectrum of people having diverse backgrounds, education, and experience (internal and external). Knowledge of standard written business communications (letters, plans, reports).
- Organization Skills: Organize information quickly and multi-task to meet commitments. Capable of working independently, accepting accountability, and being self-motivated. Ability to remain flexible and reprioritize activities as needed.
- Creativity Skills: Assist with the creation of advertising, literature, and sales and marketing promotions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Collaborate, negotiate, and build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Problem Solving Skills: Analytical, strategic thinker.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Windows, MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must be competent importing and manipulating data using spreadsheets for reporting and presentation purposes. Ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Speak and write English fluently.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL:
- Ideal candidate will be located in the Raleigh/RTP area
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
