Arcadia Publishing & The History Press is currently seeking 2 part-time interns for the spring Semester. Interns will be working directly with the Independent Sales & Marketing staff in accordance with the intern program at College of Charleston. The position requires that students work with programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Constant Contact, among others. Responsibilities include attending weekly meetings, compiling and synthesizing research, assisting the Sales & Marketing staff, observing employees in other departments (including Acquisitions and Editorial & Production), and creating marketing materials—among other tasks. The position is unpaid and is perfect for student seeking academic credit or looking for experience in the publishing world. The ideal candidate possesses a self-starting, positive attitude and is willing to work with a driven team. By the end of this program, students will have a better understanding of independent publishing by gaining first-hand knowledge of the industry as a whole: From the early contracting stages to a book’s publication date, students will learn the processes that go into each of our titles and can apply this experience to future careers. We’ve heard rave reviews about our internship program in the past, so we look forward to having you on board! Learn more about us at www.arcadiapublishing.com.

Resumes and cover letters can be sent to the Site Supervisor, Valerie Keller at vkeller@arcadiapublishing.com, and you will be contacted via email to schedule an interview. Please note that due to the high volume of applicants we receive, we cannot always respond to all inquiries.
