PayPal Summer 2019 Internship

PayPal is looking for a summer 2019 intern to work in the Global Risk and Compliance Office.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

The Global Risk and Compliance Officer Team (RCO) is the primary point of contact between the Global Governance Risk & Compliance Organization (GGRC) and PayPal’s businesses and functional areas. The RCOs are responsible for working with PayPal’s businesses to develop controls, mitigate risk, conduct the annual Risk Assessment, prepare quarterly reviews, and provide guidance on new product development.

The individual in this role will support the RCO Program Management Team, which assists the RCOs in managing these initiatives holistically, across our Global Organization. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on special projects with our RCO team, who interface directly with PayPal’s businesses.

Primary responsibilities will include

  • Tracking and reporting of strategic initiatives
  • Partnering with RCOs to ensure timely completion of quarterly goals and objectives
  • Communications with our global team to ensure timely and consistent messaging
  • Partnering with RCOs to assist in business initiatives
  • Preparing periodic reports summarizing the business units’ risk and control environment
  • Engaging key Risk and Compliance program stakeholders to help support business unit initiatives

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, digital media, PR, instructional design or related major
  • Demonstrates strong and effective leadership skills and ability to operate comfortably within a complex cultural, global environment
  • Possess sound judgment, flexibility and nimbleness in changing courses and solving problems swiftly
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to multitask effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, manage projects and drive/achieve results
  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate with strong integrity with the ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature
