The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is seeking an individual with communications training to lead outreach to media around marine and coastal topics. The employee is responsible for development and delivery of messages related to the research, management and stewardship of South Carolina’s natural resources. Must possess excellent public relations skills, proven written and oral communication skills with a broad range of the audiences. Experience using social media networks and other traditional and modern tools to promote messages and events is strongly preferred. Requires a bachelor’s degree in science or communications with two years of experience. Position is stationed in Charleston, but may require travel to other coastal South Carolina locations.
