With Who: JMC Charleston, LLC (Charleston)
Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Position Description: This is a paid internship.
- Work on Assigned Projects that tie into your goals as an Intern. Projects could include:
- Social Media
- Website – blog writing and story theme creation
- Represent JMC Charleston at industry events
- Assist in marketing efforts with local and national clients
- Assist with office administration work.
- Answer incoming office phones.
- Communicate all messages to appropriate JMC contact.
- Check venue availability.
- Add or remove holds on specific venues.
- Organize event binders and compile all information in their respective binder tabs.
- Attend office administration meetings.
- This will include meetings with potential and or current clients of JMC Charleston.
- Attend events being put on by JMC Charleston.
- Assist with set-up and break-down during event production.
- Oversee event in its entirety.
- Weekend labor may be required.
- Conservative Dress Attire may be required including close toed shoes for ladies, no visible tattoos, no face piercings except for ears, shoulders covered for ladies.
- Help organize and oversee warehouse material.
- Assist in cleaning warehouse items used during events.
- Interns ensure that all items are placed back in their respective places upon return from an event.
- Communicate with off-site vendors keeping a record of day, time, event, who you spoke with and reason for the call.
- Including: Catering Companies, Event Rental Companies, Bar Services, Venues, Etc.
