Position Description:  The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary communications professional for the institution and to successfully lead the branding and marketing of the organization. The Marketing Director is responsible for establishing, promoting and maintaining the Hill-Murray brand by developing strategies and executing tactics that communicate the Hill-Murray brand message.

Major Accountabilities and Measures of Success:  

  • Development and implementation of cohesive marketing strategies and marketing plans including campaigns, events, social media, digital marketing, and PR
    • Increase brand awareness and reach across multiple platforms
    • Work closely with Admissions and Development teams, assist  in meeting objectives by providing appropriate tools, materials and presentations
    • Execute all of the marketing tasks and tactics pertaining to launching a campaign, event or fundraising effort
  • Create and execute personalized marketing campaigns to Hill-Murray stakeholders utilizing Salesforce tools including:
    • Pardot email campaigns
    • Salesforce Social media suite
    • Mogli for texting
  • Oversee social media marketing platforms
    • Manage social media presence and create campaigns to improve social media engagement, reputation and recognition
    • Create all social media content strategy and execution
    • Lead content development
  • Review and implementation of the Brand strategy
    • Direct and oversee all design work
    • Maintain the core brand messaging
    • Direct creative and hire appropriate vendors to produce all marketing materials including brochures, flyers, online marketing, social media posts, etc. to continuously build our brand
  • Analytical data gathering
  • Word of Mouth Marketing
    • Work with committee chair and project manager to create, execute and manage marketing plan
  • Manage the marketing and communications budget within parameters set by the President and the Board
  • Manage all communications
    • Schedule, manage, edit and send bi-weekly digital newsletter
    • Edit and send all communications from the President

Qualifications:  A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or education is preferred. 3-5 years of applicable experience is desired.
