Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding Program Internship
Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding (CATR) is a non-profit 501c3 located at Brickhouse Equestrian Center, a beautiful 43-acre farm on Johns Island. Each year, CATR provides therapeutic riding and other Equine Assisted Activities & Therapies to 170+ individuals with disabilities, including public school children and veterans.
CATR has an immediate internship opportunity for a Fundraising & Marketing Intern. This intern will provide direct support to CATR’s Philanthropy Director and play an important role in helping to plan and execute In the Company of Horses, CATR’s major annual fundraising event. The Fundraising & Marketing Intern will also provide support for social media outreach related to CATR’s participation in Lowcountry Giving Day and with general marketing efforts for CATR/ BEC.
This internship is an opportunity to develop skills related to mailings/publications, website design, database management, event planning and use of specific software related to non-profit management (Constant Contact and Greater Giving). The Fundraising & Marketing Intern also has the option to work directly with students and horses in our therapeutic riding program as part of this internship.
