Minimum Requirements |
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible and relevant professional experience related to the development, production and dissemination of print informational material. Significant editorial, copywriting and production experience in print and electronic publications, as well as knowledge of all phases of the creative process. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. |
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Knowledge of marketing techniques and strategies, and ability to develop, manage and execute ideas and modern marketing themes and strategies from concept to completion. Ability to apply market research and mixed media concepts to comprehensive and complex marketing and communications projects. Demonstrated ability to plan, write and edit marketing communications copy and manage multiple marketing and communications tasks from creative concepting through production. Experience with multimedia marketing techniques. Ability to work well with others in a team environment and under deadline pressure. Must have strong initiative and ability to work independently without close supervision. Proficiency in McIntosh software, including word processing and graphics software, electronic marketing techniques and streaming video. Knowledge of and experience using new media to achieve marketing and communications goals. Ability to write clearly, concisely and on a deadline. |
Additional Comments Regarding Position |
The employee must have strong interpersonal and communications skills, the ability to conduct general market research and apply and adapt modern marketing and communications techniques to plans and strategies that are formulated to achieve enrollment, retention and student satisfaction objectives. Must be sensitive to the values and procedures of an academic institution. May require some outside work and minimal physical activity. Valid driver’s license required. |

Responsible for the execution of complex and comprehensive short– and long–term strategic marketing campaigns and programs that have an impact on the College’s efforts to recruit and retain high-level students to the institution. Confers with upper-level management on strategies and concepts. Leads, manages and directs all elements of campaigns, from creative concepts through production to final execution, that help campus divisions and departments meet their enrollment, retention and student satisfaction goals and objectives. |

Provide expert advice to the Senior Director of Marketing, and Executive Vice President for Marketing and Communications. Leads marketing teams that develop and produce complicated and complex marketing communication collateral for campus divisions and departments from concept to completion. Consult with and ensure that colleagues keep up-to-date on latest marketing trends, and continually research industry trends so that the Division of Marketing and Communications is using the most effective forms of communication to advertise the institution and meet enrollment goals. |
