Position Description: The Conference of Consulting Actuaries is searching for an experienced marketing and communications professional who will serve in a key leadership role responsible for planning, developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies. This is a new position for the organization and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated marketing professional to create a robust, fully integrated, data driven marketing department on an existing brand while collaborating with association stakeholders.
We are looking for a team leader who brings experience in marketing, advertising, social media, website, market research and analytics to support CCA’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for CCA products, services, and membership growth and retention.
- Develop and manage budgets to support the execution of marketing initiatives.
- Create and utilize research and analysis to provide critical information and guidance for product improvement, identify areas of opportunity for customer participation growth and expand market penetration.
- Design, implement, and execute strategic, innovative marketing plans for events to drive attendance and enhance brand presence.
- Develop the strategy for pricing, messaging, packaging, promotion and selling of products, ensuring the success and adoption of products in the marketplace.
- Oversee all marketing, social media and communication processes to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness.
- Manage the purchasing of print, media, merchandise, graphic design, and other materials and services necessary to execute marketing plans.
- Increase participation in the sponsorship and exhibitor program.
- Manage the content and message positioning on the CCA website.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S) in marketing-related field with a minimum of 10 years related work experience: MBA highly preferred; web experience a plus.
- Proven marketing professional with experience determining product-market fit and delivering products to market. Create and manage multiple marketing and communication campaigns.
- A creative thinker with demonstrated success in translating broad concepts and ideas into engaging, clear communications.
- Highly motivated individual with leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player and able to work with volunteer leaders.
- Association experience a plus; knowledge of the actuarial profession a plus.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- With members of the organization’s leadership team, establish and execute an organizational marketing and communications strategy.
- Set the marketing strategy, based on analysis of historical marketing and customer feedback data, designed to move the CCA strategic goals forward.
- Develop a comprehensive inbound, digital marketing strategy designed to drive community engagement via multiple points of engagement (website, social media, on-line learning, etc.).
- Drive key business metrics by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content.
- Develop the strategy for pricing, messaging, packaging, promotion and selling of our products, ensuring the success and adoption of our products as they go to market.
- Provide leadership to the marketing team and oversee the creation of comprehensive and fully integrated marketing and communication plans, budgets to support those plans.
- Oversee all marketing and communication processes to ensure consistency and accountability.
- Keep the company up-to-date with market trends and competition.
- Manage vendor communications and negotiations.
