Communications Internship with the Huguenot Society of South Carolina (Charleston)
The Huguenot Society of South Carolina was founded in 1885 to preserve the memory of the French Protestants (Huguenots) who fled religious persecution in the 17th and 18th centuries. Rather than forsake their faith, the Huguenots left their homes, families, and the life they knew in search of a place where they could worship and live freely. Their independent spirit and determination in the face of persecution is as inspiring today as it was the day their first ship arrived. We are a genealogical society with membership based on descent from a Huguenot ancestor, and an historical society with a library and archive providing research opportunities to the general public.
Our Society plans to increase our social media presence and enhance and extend our brand. We are offering a paid communications internship to assist with these efforts.
