Salary: $41,777 – $59,537*
Position Description: The Director of Video and Network Production will support CofC Athletics and engage fans through delivering broadcast content and programming and producing creative and engaging original video for the Charleston Sports Network, FloSports Network, regional and national television, and other official department channels and opportunities. This person will work with regional and national TV affiliates, Charleston Sports Properties and the College of Charleston external team to enhance the CofC brand, support revenue generation, boost fan engagement and tell the story of CofC Athletics and its student-athletes. This position will also oversee the Assistant Director of Multimedia, the Charleston Sports Network staff and student interns.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in broadcast journalism, video production, Radio/TV/Film, communications or related field preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in a broadcast production setting. Relevant undergraduate experience in the field of professional or collegiate athletics video production.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with digital video hardware (e.g. Newtek, Ross, Canon, Daktronics), software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects and Photoshop or equivalent programs). Experience working on live productions, serving in director and/or producer role. Extensive knowledge of digital media landscape, both technical and creative. Strong technical skills and ability to leverage emerging media. Ability to operate, maintain and teach others on necessary broadcast equipment, including but not limited to TriCaster, replay system, LiveText, AJT, camera operation, etc.
