Position Description: The Digital Strategist manages the day-to-day activities associated with Ball
State digital marketing. As a member of the Marketing and Communications digital marketing team, the Digital Strategist will assist with the creation, delivery, and maintenance of digital content to its various channels. This role will also provide consultation to campus partners in order to meet business goals and optimize Ball State’s digital presence for its various audiences.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, telecommunications, graphic design, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum Experience: At least two years of experience with production and management on digital marketing channels and platforms.
- Preferred Experience: At least three years of professional experience in maintaining and developing websites; experience working with a web content management system; web graphic design experience using multimedia programs such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver; basic knowledge of HTML; experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working as part of an integrated marketing team in a professional setting.
- Minimum Other: Strong interest and aptitude in developing and/or maintaining websites; ability to learn new skills quickly; must be able to meet deadlines, adhere to project production schedules, and prioritize a large number of tasks; must be detail-oriented; must have strong communication skills as reviewing copy and content strategy will be needed.
