With Who: Association for Women in Sports Media
Location: Charleston, SC
Position Description: This is a paid internship. AWSM will award up to eight female college students a $1,000 scholarship and placement in a paid internship in four fields: sportswriting, broadcast production, social media and media relations. Last year’s interns spent their summers at ESPN, USA Softball, the Sporting News, Sports Illustrated, MLB.com, Turner Sports and USA Today. The summer 2020 placements will be announced at a later date.
Eligibility: The program is open to female college students who have completed at least one year of college (sophomores and above; grad students also eligible). Students graduating in 2020 are allowed to apply.
Application Fee: Application is free for student members ($25 annually, sign up here and save). It costs $40 for nonmembers.
Application Deadline: All applications are due by 11:59 PM on October 15, 2019.
