Position Description: Reporting to the Executive Director of the Center for Global Health, this position requires a strong communicator and writer who should be motivated and work well independently or as part of a team. This position will be critical to help raise awareness of the university’s global health activities (training, research, service, international students and scholars) through various communication vehicles, and will provide support for projects and events that increase awareness of the university’s faculty and student engagement in global health. The Program Coordinator will also assist in internal policy development through the creation of reports, training materials, forms, and other projects to educate the university on procedures or tools regarding international activities. Performs other related duties as required or directed.
Job Duties:
- 30% – Provide writing, editing and research support for print, digital, web & intranet projects, and other communication projects as directed. Interview subjects for newsletter and website articles. Responsible for the CGH monthly e-newsletter, including developing an editorial calendar, writing content, and managing related list-servs and contact data bases. Responsible for day-to-day creation of engaging content, posting, and monitoring of CGH social media channels. – (Essential)
- 30% – Responsible for maintaining and updating CGH website, including content development, and assist in site migration to new CMS. Assist in building new pages. Write and copy edit engaging and informative content and upload content on a regular basis. Accommodate requests to update information as needed. Prepare and update images and post news articles as needed. Troubleshoot site errors such as misspellings, broken links and accessibility issues as needed. – (Essential)
- 20% – Assist with the creation of reports, policies, training materials, forms, and other projects as assigned to educate campus on policies, procedures or tools regarding international activities. Assist in monitoring, compiling, and analysis of internal global health-related data. – (Essential)
- 15% – Supports the planning, organization, implementation of special departmental projects and events. – (Essential)
- 5% – Administrative Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. – (Essential)
