Position Description: Electricity is fueling a new era of mobility. With electric vehicle (EV) purchases in our region projected to reach 100,000 within 20 years, Duquesne Light is working to maximize the benefits of transportation electrification for all customers and communities the company serves. At Duquesne Light, the EV Associate will support customers along the EV customer journey by driving awareness and delivering educational content and experiences. They will use their ability to understand customers’ needs to shape and implement innovative products and services that make it easier for individuals to make the choice to drive electric. This high-profile and visible role will build relationships with local businesses, organizations and leaders and provide customer support to increase the number of EV charging stations at homes, businesses and communities throughout the Pittsburgh region.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the EV Manager in the execution of DLC’s EV strategy implementation
- Conduct customer research and develop strategic messaging for influential and informative digital/print content, social media, presentations, and speech talking points.
- Plan and execute compelling in-person and virtual educational events for customers, stakeholders and DLC employees.
- Develop and manage contracts with marketing agencies, digital platform providers, and physical collateral vendors.
- Build a regional trade ally network consisting of automotive dealerships, charging station vendors, electrical contractors, and others.
- Shape and implement EV and charging station products and services such as bill credits, purchase incentives, and other future offerings, including developing product/service identity, messaging, and marketing plan.
- Collaborate with business units across the company such as customer experience, corporate communications, government affairs, and major accounts.
- Provide exceptional service when responding to customer and stakeholder requests for technical assistance.
- Monitor and analyze business unit budget and performance by monitoring invoices and forecasting spend and tracking progress toward program KPIs.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Roles at this level require a university/college degree.
- Demonstrated strength in writing skills is required.
- Higher level education such as a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or sustainability is desired.
- Relevant experience to be successful in the given role is typically 3+ years.
- Demonstrate understanding of the convergence of sustainable technology solutions and stakeholder needs.

Builds knowledge base and develops capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff.
