JCPenney: Seeking Digital Media Marketing Intern

For 9 weeks as a Marketing Intern at our Home Office in Plano, TX you will gain a basic understanding of each phase in the Marketing process while supporting the needs of our Digital Media team. You will assist with supporting Google Adwords, Facebook, and other digital marketing channels. This person would also assist in supporting our agencies to manage, analyze, and optimize digital campaigns across multiple channels for different business categories and customer segments. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with leadership and other associates who will mentor and coach you to success through projects and hands on training.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize budgets for a digital channel based on campaign objectives and results.
  • Create, deploy, and optimize audiences for various digital marketing channels and campaigns.
  • Ensure campaign is implemented and running properly, and that industry best practices are being followed.
  • Analyze and optimize campaigns across pertinent factors (eg, device, demographics, geography, customer segment, etc) to improve overall cost-per-revenue.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and recommendations for improving digital campaigns.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and the ability to quickly learn other digital marketing and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to compile, review and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and insights

Core Competencies and Accomplishments:

  • Current college junior status with major in Marketing, Business, Math, or similar field
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Working knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, Python experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and the ability to quickly learn other digital marketing and analytics platforms
  • Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completenees, and insights
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
