Position Summary:
The Human Resources Intern will assist with various Human Resources procedures and programs, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, on-boarding, HRIS, compliance, and various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide entry level support to various projects and programs related to the overall HR function and designed to meet business needs
- Provide support with company’s marketing and branding initiatives, as well as social media
- Update and maintain company job descriptions
- Conduct best hiring practices via reference and background checks
- Support the new employee orientation process, including on-boarding and paperwork
- Manage new hire required documents and information
- Collect confidential documents from employees and new hires
- Support the recruiting process by assist in scheduling of appointments for interviews
- Update various HR documents
- Data entry with HRIS system
- Maintain confidentiality with business and employee information
- Miscellaneous administrative work
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications :
Required
- Rising college Junior or Senior majoring in Human Capital Management, Industrial & Labor Relations, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing or Communications
- Strong academic record, 3.0 GPA or greater
- Solid organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
- A team player with enthusiasm, positive outlook and professional demeanor who takes initiative and direction
Preferred
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A strong desire to pursue a career in the Human Resources field
