Corporate Citizenship & Social Responsibility leads DATG’s pro-social and philanthropic efforts, aligning charitable giving and other pro-social activities with the business and brand objectives of DATG, as well as the Corporate Citizenship strategy of The Walt Disney Company. We do this to fully leverage all resources available for maximum impact. The department leads cross-division campaigns, including the creation of on-air PSA’s, philanthropic giving, and volunteerism.

Responsibilities

A day in the life…
So you want to change the world? As a DATG Citizenship intern, you will be part of the team that tries to do that every day! Through the amazing reach of the multitude of brands of DATG and TWDC, we are able to coordinate campaigns that bring attention to important social issues. As this is a small team, you will be given access to the strategy behind the campaigns and will participate in the planning and execution.

Some of the responsibilities will include:
-Supporting the ongoing pro-social campaigns of DATG Citizenship.
-Organizing invitation and guests lists for external events.
-Supporting the ongoing update of our DATG Citizenship Website.
-Assisting with general clerical work.
-Assisting in the production of PSA/Interstitials.
-Helping with the preparation of presentations.

Basic Qualifications
What You Bring to the Role:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • A strong interest and/or experience with philanthropic endeavors, initiatives, and grant making principles.
  • Your passion and experience either as a volunteer or supporter of charitable causes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication & analytical skills.
  • An ability to work as a team player.

PLUS: 

  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
  • All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months – OR – be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
  • All students must be available M-F 40 hours per week.
  • All students must be available during the months of January through May.
  • All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year, or a recent graduate.
  • Previous internship experience within a related field.

The Disney Channel (Disney XD) Program Planning and Scheduling team is responsible for all linear and non-linear scheduling, media planning, and acquisitions for the network. The team works closely with all departments within Disney Channels, including Original Programming, Marketing, Ad Sales, and Publicity.

Responsibilities

Your Role…

You’ll have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to program for a top cable network, working directly with executives in program planning & scheduling, media planning, and acquisitions, and gain exposure to various other aspects of the business.

This might include:

  • helping with monthly program scheduling, and prepping listings
  • assisting with media planning, including promo scheduling and reporting/analysis of campaign reach and frequency
  • working on linear program planning & scheduling projects for long-term planning
  • working on multi-platform program planning & scheduling projects for long-term planning

Basic Qualifications

What you bring to the role:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • You have a strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You demonstrate passion and knowledge of present and past television programming and non-linear digital programming.

  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
  • All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months – OR – be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
  • All candidates must be available during the months of January through May for the Spring internship program.
  • All candidates must be available to work up to 32 hours/4 days per week (does not include weekend days).
  • All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
  • All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
  • Knowledge and consumer of Disney/ABC Television programming, including Disney Channels and Disney XD.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytic aptitude.
  • Able to work efficiently under time constraints.

Responsibilities

A day in the life…

You will support digital analytics function for both Freeform and Disney Channel Research teams. You will assist in managing data-related logistics, compiling and analyzing various data and trending information, and to provide actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.

  • Manage data transfer and validation processes for automation and optimization initiative
  • Ensure data accuracy, build trending reports for Video On Demand and App viewing
  • Identify pattern and analyze data from multiple sources

Basic Qualifications

What you bring to the role…

  • Excellent SQL to handle large datasets
  • Understanding of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, PIG, HIVE, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Basic Qualifications
