Internship: Oral History Editor

Sarandeep S. Huja, DDS, PhD, Dean of MUSC’s James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, is recruiting an intern to assist him with an oral history project he is developing for publication. This internship is eligible for course credit if student is enrolled in ENGL 495: Field Internship concurrently with the internship.
The internship will involve transcribing and editing audio/visual oral histories for publication. The intern will also need to produce some written material to accompany the oral histories. Should a publication result from these histories, the intern will also receive editorial credit for their work on the project.
Internship Requirements:
- Can edit written/transcribed histories for publication
- Must have excellent command of grammar, spelling, and the English language
- Must have excellent time management and organization skills
- Can meet and keep deadlines
- Must have some technical ability with producing and editing automated transcripts, editing and writing in Microsoft Word, and the use of graphics
