10 Songs to Fall in Love with Taylor Swift

Thinking about remixing one of my projects was daunting until I realized I could create something I was passionate about and loved. I chose to remix my RSA about Taylor Swift. When creating my playlist my main focus was to select songs that were meaningful and that may be overlooked. My goal when choosing songs for the playlist was to find songs not everyone is familiar with when thinking of Taylor Swift. I created a Spotify playlist with all 10 songs and included a code in my brochure for the audience to use. When creating this project the audience I thought of to hopefully listen to my guide is people who are unfamiliar with Taylor Swift. I know a lot of people dislike her, but my goal with this project is to reach the people who are neutral and do not have preconceived notions about her as a person and/or artist. The thing that motivated me to create this project was the constant opinions of others. People tend to think Taylor Swift is some famous pop star with no feeling behind her songs, when in reality it is quite the opposite. Taylor Swift puts all of her feelings into her songs and relates to her fans in an extremely special way. A huge roadblock I hit when creating my brochure was choosing the songs. I tried to choose songs that have a deep meaning that different people can relate to. Welcome to New York may be seen as a controversial song to choose by other fans, but it was important to me to include it. Welcome to New York has such a simple meaning, but it is a feel good song that was good to break up the other heavy songs and show she has variety in her music. Creating a playlist with her songs was evident to me when thinking of a genre to choose. I know her songs inside and out, so to be able to be creative and make a brochure about songs that are so meaningful was perfect. Everyone listens to music so to create a 10 song playlist is the most convenient way to connect with the audience. It does not take too much time and is easy for the audience to use. When remixing my RSA to my playlist brochure the biggest thing I had to do is generalize my topic then specify it. My original RSA was about the Eras Tour and how impactful Taylor Swift is. When creating my brochure I changed my topic to 10 songs to make you fall in love with Taylor Swift…in other words, 10 of her NEED to listen to songs. This project was by far my favorite project of the year because I got to be creative with it and work on something I love. I hope these 10 songs make you fall in love with Taylor Swift. And if they don’t, I hope you at least see her for who she is…a Mastermind!
