Major companies, like Progressive auto insurance, use commercials as a way to reach out to audiences. One of the methods these big corporations use in their commercials is the use of continuity.

Continuity is the advertising of a company’s brand to give the audience a recurring logo, character, or slogan to associate with.

Many Progressive commercials use white backgrounds to stress the bold blue lettered name. The use of continuity is in other forms of media, like books and films. The digital age has aided the advertising of products for larger audiences.

Continuity and Audiences

Continuity is a marketing tool that is a message from the company to tell their viewers what they are all about. By recognizing this message, audiences are more informed of the company’s values.
