Some students were unable to attend the field-trip, so these students researched other African American landmarks.  Each student wrote an essay on the background of the institution, spoke with people who currently work with these institutions, and created a reflection on their experience for this blog.  Students who completed this assignment have the tag “Alternative Assignment” assigned to their blog post.
