Dr. Weyers’ Co-Authored Essay to Appear in _Spanish in Context_

Professor Joseph Weyers’ co-authored article “Tuteo and voseo in the classroom: Linguistic attitudes among Montevidean educators” has been accepted for publication in Spanish in Context. Dr. Weyers’ co-author is Germán Canale, Instituto de Lingüística, Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay.

Professor Antonio Aiello’s study “La conquista del aire de Belén Gopegui: Un discurso narrativo de la generación de los noventa en España inmerso en las coordenadas de la posmodernidad” will appear in a future issue of the refereed journal Hispania.

Spanish House Residents Enjoy “Dinner with a Professor” Night

On Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, Drs. Emily Beck and Carla Breidenbach prepared dinner for Spanish House/Casa Hispana residents for the first “Cena con un profesor”/”Dinner with a Professor” Night of the 2012-13 academic year.  Students enjoyed the following menu representing Spain: Ensalada mixta, gazpacho, albóndigas en salsa de tomate, tortilla española and champiñones al ajillo.
