Dr. Sarah Owens Presents Scholarship & Receives Award

Professor Sarah Owens presented her original work, “Spanish Nuns on the Manila Galleon (1621) at the Sixteenth Century Society Conference in Bruges, Belgium on Friday August 19, 2016.

The Society for the Study of Early Modern Women selected her article “Crossing Mexico (1620-1621): Franciscan Nuns and Their Journey to the Philippines” for the award for best article in women and gender in 2015.
