The Hispanic Latino Club will hold a bake sale on September 18 from 9am-2pm on Cougar Mall to fund its “Rock the Vote Campaign” on September 21.
“Commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month at the College of Charleston allows us to sensitize students and the community about the culture, language and history of the United States’ largest minority group,” said Dr. Mark P. Del Mastro, Chair of the Department of Hispanic Studies. “As Mexico is the only country that has a larger population of Hispanics than the U.S., celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month reacquaints all of us with this ever-growing and critically important sector of U.S. society.”
